Places to Bike on Nantucket – Pt 1
This Spring, I was invited by Schwinn Bikes to a Summer house on Nantucket! I of course said, yes, and embarked on a nine day trip, testing out various cruiser style bikes while discovering places to bike on Nantucket. I also met some of the other Schwinn Ambassadors, and together, we explored all that this unique island has to offer.
The Schwinn Summer House
The Schwinn Summer house was amazing! When I pulled up in the driveway to this beautiful New England style home with bikes out front, I was so excited!
One of the best ways to really see the hidden gems on this beautiful island was by bike. Nantucket has an extensive bike trail system that crisscrosses the island. The flat lay of the land was a leisurely bike rider’s dream!

Throw on your preppy sweater and stripes and join me as I highlight some of the best places to bike to on Nantucket!
One of our first excursions was to Siasconset Beach, and I tested out the Sivica which was extremely comfortable and perfect for the flat terrain.
On day three, I tried out the Schwinn Alu 7, and we biked 9 miles to Cisco Brewers for beer, fish tacos, and live music. The brewery actually has a bike parking lot, making this a great destination to see by bike.
Our days were jam packed with biking and picture taking, so in the evenings we spent much of our time in the downtown area. One of my favorite activities was sailing on the Endeavor. Captain Jim, the owner and an experienced sailor, built the boat himself. While we took in the sights of the Nantucket coast and drank wine, he serenaded us with theme songs from tv shows such as, Sponge Bob Square Pants and Mr. Ed. Life on a sail boat doesn’t get more entertaining than that!
Stay tuned for more Nantucket Adventures with Schwinn!
