Rustic Art Deco Wedding Invitations
I’m finally getting around to sharing the invitations I designed for our wedding back in November of 2015. While most girls grow up fantasizing about their wedding, I fantasized about designing my own wedding invitations. I went all out, creating a custom logo, color palette, envelope liners, and champagne foil stamp design.
Color & Style Inspiration Board
The most important step I took was to nail down the color palette and style. My favorite color is purple, and my husband and I are both inspired by anything art deco. I began by gathering vintage style images with purple. I also knew I wanted to do something with a metallic accent. Since I find bright gold a bit too intense, I decided to go with a champagne accent color to soften the invitation. I used this inspiration board to create my custom bridesmaid gift boxes which you can view here.

Finalized Logo & Style Board
It took me awhile to finalize our logo. I created several designs before my husband and I decided on this one. I also created additional versions to coordinate with the main logo to use for wedding favors, hang tags, and return address stamps. To save money on stamping, I had custom rubber stamps made at rubberstamps.net, and my mom and I used champagne ink to stamp the wedding favors, hang tags, and envelopes.
The Final Wedding Invitation Suite
The invitations came together quickly after finalizing our logo. The next step was to find a printer to print the envelope liners, information cards, RSVP cards, and foil stamp the invitation. It took awhile for me to find a printer to accommodate all of these services, and once I did, we had a tight deadline to get everything assembled. My mom and I carefully hand assembled all the pieces, and everything was held together with a champagne colored belly band and a hang tag was tied around the assembly.
I couldn’t be more thrilled with how the invitations came together!
