The year kicked off with a surprise work trip to Europe for Bobby. I expanded the garden, grew my business, spent the summer on Harsens Island, and danced it out at a Dua Lipa concert. Bobby traveled nonstop for work, and we made it back to Europe for a full month to celebrate 10 years together, visiting 9 countries along the way.

Design the ultimate last minute/not last minute New Year’s Eve Invitation with me!

Every year my brother hosts an epic New Year’s Eve party and asks me to design an invitation, which makes it not exactly last minute. However, the details are usually few and come via sporadic last minute texts.

Decided to put some of my new skills to use that I learned at #AdobeMax. Thanks to @AdobeExpress and @adobe_firefly.ai I was able to put together this animated invitation in less than 2 hours. I even made this reel using @AdobeExpress

Test your contact form: I can’t tell you how many times I’ve tried to use a contact form only to discover it isn’t working. Make sure your potential clients can get in touch with you. ⁠

Review your analytics: You can’t start making improvements to your lead generation system until you analyze what’s working and what’s not.⁠

Clean up broken links: Use a broken link checker to ensure all of your links are still directing your leads in the right place. Nothing makes a potential client bounce quicker than a link that doesn’t work. Make sure you have an effective 404 error page in place with links that can help your potential client get back on your website. ⁠

From finally getting to see the Hemingway House in Key West to traveling twice to Europe, meeting Chris Plante from the @chrisplanteshow, and hitting new milestones in my business, 2023 was so good to me.

When I quit my job and started my business full-time 13 years ago, I never could’ve imagined being where I am now. I’m so thankful for the work I get to do and the flexibility I have while doing it.
